The Answer Begins With…

I raised a question at the end of my last blog post I’m sure we’ve all asked ourselves at one time or another: If laws can’t make people love others and respect others’ rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, then what can?

Tomorrow I celebrate Christmas with my family. We honor and remember the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and we cherish the tradition of giving and spending special time together.

God the Father gave His only begotten Son to save the world. Jesus told us many reasons why he came—to save the world and not judge it, to seek and save that which was lost, that we might have abundant life. He told us we would have trouble in this world, but to take heart because He overcame the world.

For me, the answers to the trials and hard questions of life begin with Jesus. Because I’ve placed my faith and trust in Him, I believe He is the Answer. He has revealed the end of the story of life to those who put their faith in Him.

The love of God is the only force in creation that moves people to love and respect others. And the way He arranged things is for people to experience His love through other people.

We can love because He first loved us. That’s how our soul feels its worth.

So why don’t we see more of it?

I don’t pretend to know the answer. What I do know is this, straight from Jesus: those who have been forgiven much, love much.

Perhaps, deep down, we don’t realize just how much we were forgiven of when Jesus gave his life for us.

Buon Natale. Feliz Navidad. Merry Christmas.

This blog will be on holiday hiatus until January 4, 2016.
Thank you for following along with me in this journey.
